I don't like to believe things are inherently "evil". I believe good things get twisted into nefarious purposes. SAFe, on the other hand - that is evil incarnate. It has every indication of being developed by someone who despised agile and resented the loss of traditional power structures it implies. I say that only mildly tongue-in-cheek. SAFe is process for its own sake. It is reporting on steroids. It gives teams the illusion that they are in control of their work while simultaneously stripping them of their autonomy.
